HMB (BETA-HYDROXY BETA-METHYLBUTYRATE)
HMB (Beta-Hydroxy Beta-Methylbutyrate) is a naturally occurring compound derived from the amino acid leucine. It plays a critical role in preserving muscle mass, enhancing recovery, and reducing muscle protein breakdown. A deficiency in HMB, whether due to low dietary intake of leucine or insufficient endogenous production, can have detrimental effects on muscle health, especially in older adults, athletes, and individuals undergoing intens physical stress or illness.

Its main mode of action is to provide an inorganic phospahate to resynthesize ATP (adenosine
triphospahate) during high intensity activities. When the body uses energy, the ATP is used as a fundamental energy donor for short burst of power. Under strenuous activity, ATP release one of these high-energy phosphates groups to power muscle contraction. Creatine supplies the muscle fiber with
