Pro Form for Men

The prostate is a single, doughnut-shaped gland about the size of a walnut that lies below the bladder and surrounds the urethra. The prostate gland is responsible for secreting prostatic fluid, which is a major component of the male seminal fluid that increases sperm mobility and lubricates the urethra to prevent infection.

Because of its anatomical position, nothing can interfere with a man's sex life faster than a swollen prostate. To compound this potential problem, the prostate can become swollen for many reasons. Approximately 1/2 of all men over 60 suffer from enlargement of the prostate, commonly known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Symptoms include: increased urinary frequency, nighttime awakening to empty the bladder, and reduced force and caliber (speed of flow) of urination.

Fortunately, research has shown that prostate health can be influenced by nutritional support. Vitamins, Minerals, Glandulars & Herbs all play an important nutritional role in supporting normal male and prostate functions. The vitamins and minerals included in Pro Form Plus are among the most powerful anti-oxidants, in addition to providing specific nutritional value for sexual function.

Radioactive isotope tracing has shown that Glandulars are "organ specific". In other words, "like cells help like cells" ' When you take a supplement containing Adrenal Cells, for example, your own adrenal gland will pick up the nutritional factors as they enter the bloodstream.

Adrenal Substance provides nutritional support for healthy adrenals. Adrenals are known to fuel the sex drive and produce male characteristics. Healthy adrenals will also produce over 50 steroid hormones which direct the conversion of protein and fat into glucose, suppress inflammation, promote healing and regulate blood iron balance in the kidneys.

Prostate Substance and Orchic (Testes Substance) provide specific nutritional support for the prostate gland. Infertility, impotence and prostate problems are minimized when these glands are healthy.

Pro Form Plus also contains an invigorating Herbal Complex, many that are recommended supplements in maintaining youthful vitality and exuberance.

Pro Form Plus Ingredient Listing

Each two tablets contain:

Zinc 37.5 mg.
Zinc has been described as the "closest thing to a nutritional aphrodisiac". The highest concentration of zinc in the male body is in the prostate and the prostatic fluid. It is believed that zinc not only stimulates testosterone and increases sperm count, but that it also stimulates the prostate gland. The combined effect is believed to only to increase sex drive, but also to improve potency.

Vitamin E 30 iu.
Vitamin E is called the sex vitamin because it is vital to reproduction. It is required for the production of hormones and hormone-like prostaglandins that stimulate sexual activity. Recent studies have shown that boosting these hormone levels results in an increase in the frequency of sexual intercourse and higher self-rated sexual gratification scores.

Vitamin A 2000 iu.
Vitamin A assists in supporting the adrenal gland as well as being a valuable component to boost the body's immune system.

Amino Acids
L-Alanine (15 mg.), L-Arginine (25 mg.), L-Glutamic Acid (35 mg.), L-Glycine (75 mg.), and Linoleic Acid provide essential protein building blocks to rebuild body tissue and maintain energy.

Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) 12.5 mg.
Saw Palmetto has traditionally been used by Native Americans to treat genitourinary disturbances. Pharmacologically it is known to have anti-androgen, immune-stimulating, and anti-edema effects. The prime therapeutic application is benign prostate hypertrophy, a condition that develops when too much testosterone is converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This compound causes cells in the prostate to multiply excessively and eventually causes the gland to enlarge. Saw palmetto blocks this conversion as well as the attachment of DHT to prostate cells, and facilitates DHT excretion. Saw Palmetto extract has shown excellent results in numerous clinical trials in reducing the symptoms and clinical signs of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Saw Palmetto has also been used to treat hirsutism and virilism in women.

Pygeum Africanum 20 mg.
Pygeum is an evergreen tree native to Africa. Its bark has historically been used in the treatment of urinary tract disorders. The major active components of the bark are fat-soluble sterols and fatty acids. Numerous clinical trials in over six hundred patients have demonstrated pygeum extract to be effective in reducing the symptoms and clinical signs of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Pumpkin Seed 100 mcg.
Pumpkin Seed, rich in Zinc and essential fatty acids (EFAs), has long been a natural answer to a healthy prostate. If you have enlargement of the prostate gland, eat an extra handful of pumpkin seeds each day.

Korean Ginseng 100 mcg.
In Chinese, "renschen", meaning "man root" is considered the king of tonics... particularly for some one who has been weakened by disease or old age. Ginseng contains several hormone-like substances that are thought to account for its simultaneously sedative and stimulating (adaptogenic) effect on the central nervous system.

Royal Jelly 100 mcg.
Royal Jelly has been shown to increase the oxygen and hemoglobin carrying power of the red blood cells. Royal Jelly provides instant energy and great stamina. Royal Jelly has been found to be helpful in cases of chronic prostatitis. The Pratt Institute in New York reported that it "speeds up and improves greatly the recovery power of athletes after stressed performance".

Garlic Powder 100 mcg.
Contains Vitamin A, B & C and approximately 530 mg. of Potassium per 100 grams. Add to this Amino Acids plus a substance known as allicin which is the component responsible for the antibacterial effect of garlic. It has been further shown to reduce blood pressure and lower blood sugar levels, indicating its use in controlling mild diabetes. Blood Pressure problems and diabetes both can lead to impotence.

Sarsaparilla 100 mcg.

Gotu Kola 250 mcg.

Damiana 250 mcg.
The Latin variant for this plant is "aphrodisiac", perpetuating an old belief that the plant is a sex tonic. Damiana is one of the most popular and safest of all plants claimed to have an aphrodisiac effect. Since it is a stimulating nerve tonic, too much may cause temporary insomnia in some people.

Lecithin 100 mcg.
